Data left out
What the API never returns, on purpose, and why.
The API returns what an integration needs to show your events and work with your participants. Some data never leaves the platform through it, whatever the scopes of the key.
Never returned
- Form answers of registrations and submissions.
- Orders and payments.
- Reviews, reviewers and scores of papers.
- Authors’ e-mail addresses. A paper’s authors come with their names and affiliations only.
- Internal parameters, tags and metadata of objects.
This is deliberate. These are personal or confidential data: answers to forms can be sensitive, payments are financial data, and reviews are confidential to the committee. Each of them could only come back behind a scope of its own, by an explicit decision.
No search of events and papers
For the same reason, only registrations can be searched. A free-text search of events or papers would reach some of the data above, such as reviewers or authors’ e-mail addresses. It will only come with a filter limited to public fields.
What you do get
The API reference lists every field the API returns, object by object.
